Governance
November 2005
Dennis Rood
September was very busy once again as we
finished out summer in Seattle.
Autocross on the 3rd and 24th,
Skills Day on the 3rd and 24th, a tech session on the 10th,
a tour on the 17th and finally the big Park Place Party on the 24th to finish out the month.
There are still a lot of events before the year
is out so if you have the time, join in.
The Portland Parade Committee is still looking
for the following volunteers:
- Organize the Art Show.
- Children’s activities
- PNWR Host in the Hospitality Suite for one
day (we have a few who have already volunteered for this.)
Send me email if you would like to volunteer
for one of the above.
We are already starting to think about next
year’s activities and will be planning the calendar in early
December. If you have a tour you would like to lead, would like to
host the June Wine Tasting party, have an idea for a different
social event let myself or the committee chair know what you would
like to do and we will call you to discuss it.
Don’t forget the Workers Party on Saturday,
November 11, 2005 at Café Veloce in Kirkland Totem Lake Mall. If you
have worked at any event you are welcome to come to lunch hosted by
the club. Your individual entrée and soft drinks are covered. No
host for alcoholic beverages.
Finally, we are barely in the lead for the most
new actual members of any club in the US so invite a friend to join
and be sure to renew your own membership as the total counts. If we
win I believe every club member gets a $100 gift certificate to be
used at a Porsche dealer (I think).
Also, put the Holiday dinner on your calendar
for December 10th and plan to come to the annual Awards
Banquet in January.
See you soon.
