In the Special Recognition awards.
Most Entertaining

It is important to have a sense of humor. Webmaster Don Holloway
has incorporated Porsche humor and multi media content to give
the Central Pennsylvania site a real personality.
Technical Innovation
Carrera Region,
Bob Medley- Webmaster
Bob Medley had built the Carrera Region site using dynamic pages
that allows him to personalize the site to a user’s preference.
He is leading the way with a technologically advanced approach
to building a site that previews the next generation of region
website architecture.
The next award is for the best Zone or Registry site. The award this
year goes to:
Special Recognition Zone/ Registry
911T Registry, Michael Lancial
- Webmaster
The PCA Registries play an important role by focusing on specific
Porsche models of high interest to the people that own them. Michael
Lancial is not only the 911T Advocate but is the webmaster for
this Registry’s site. Michael has effectively used the website
to provide a depth of content and information about this model
for all those PCA members who own them.
The top five regions are recognized in the website contest. These
top five regions represent the best of the best. Three of the five
regions are new to the awards this year and show how the efforts of
a motivated and dedicated webmaster can make a difference. The first
of these regions is:
Fifth Place
Arizona Region, Ted Armstrong -
Webmaster
Another newcomer to the awards is our fourth place finisher.
Fourth Place
Golden Gate Region, Susan
Angebrandt-Webmaster
Our third place finisher is our first repeat winner in the awards.
Third Place
San Diego Region, Steve Batiz

Second place is another newcomer. Last year this region was not in
the final round but through the efforts of their new webmaster, the
region moved all the way to second place and gave the first place
region a run for the top spot.
Second
Place
Pacific Northwest Region, Barb Coplen-Webmaster
And finally our first place finisher moves to the top spot this year
by a concerted and determined effort to take the site to a higher
level of design, features and content. Webmaster Peter Carrol of the
Upper Canada Region has set a very high mark for the top spot in the
competition with the additional development and time he dedicated
to the site. Congratulations to Upper Canada our first place finisher
in this year’s competition.
First Place
