The Lost Award Search Continues
Sept. 4, 2003 - For many years,
PNWR has presented eight special Annual Awards to members deserving
special recognition. Some of these trophies have been donated
by members and by sponsors reflecting their appreciation; some are
in memory of past members
or family members;
and one came to us directly from Porsche AG. A number of these awards
are irreplaceable.
Unfortunately, over the past couple of years many of these trophies have
gone missing. Typically, these awards have been collected by the
Club's officers prior to the annual Awards Banquet so that they
may be updated and presented to the new winners. After a six month
search, all
but four
trophies have been recovered, updated, and very belatedly awarded
with the Club's apologies and thanks.
The awards we are currently missing are:
- Autocross Enthusiast of the Year
- Novice of the Year
- The Isabel Grant Award
- The Potlatch Trophy
Someone, somewhere, has these trophies and your Board would very much like
to locate them so we may resume this tradition for PNWR. The help of PNWR's
membership in locating these awards would be appreciated. Any information,
no matter how old, might help.
