Join Paul Risinger, nationally recognized concours competitor and event judge, for a new clinic covering what you do to restore a car. This year he will spotlight restoration of a 356. He hopes to discuss other models in future clinics. The restorations are fundamentally the same except for materials, parts of the era, and finishes. Come see if you are ready to embark on a full restoration project or get pointers on smaller problem areas. Bring your questions. Just seeing Paul’s garage is great fun.
Paul Risinger, with Terry Forland, owner of Racecraft in Woodinville, WA will share the discussions. Terry was the chief restorer at last summer’s 2009 Parade of a 356 winner owned by Bob McDowell. Terry has extensive experience in the restoration of classic Porsches.
We will break the session into two parts. One will discuss the sequence of dismantling, preserving, restoring parts, body work, and reassembly. The second will discuss the restoration of parts, the records, the way you repair and replace parts, fasteners, paint areas, upholstery, and general finishing.
