The tour winds back down the mountain for an Italian lunch at Milano''s in the quaint town of Glacier, then proceeds through bucolic farmlands for a stop in Lynden, and ends at the luxurious Semiahmoo Resort and Spa. The resort is situated on Birch Bay with views to the San Juan Islands and Canada. Great news--the road to Artist’s Point has opened! It is a fabulous destination. We missed this part of the tour the last two years because the road never opened. This is a multi-region event Tour Schedule: Saturday 8:00am - Meet, mingle and sign-in Smokey Point Rest Area Exit/MP 207(8.2 mi. North of Marysville) Maps and directions will be provided at tour start 8:30am – Drivers’ Meeting 8:40am - Depart in groups The morning tour route follows nearly 100 miles of back roads with a brief rest stop in Ajax. Upon reaching Artist’s Point, members may enjoy the views at the overlook or take a short hike to gain even better views onto the mountains, glacier, and lakes. Lunch will be at Milano’s Restaurant, a great little Italian restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining in the town of Glacier. The tour ends at the Semiahmoo Resort and Spa for an overnight stay and waterside dinner. The Resort offers a multitude of leisure activities on land and water.
