Cle Elum Tour - July 2003

Tour destination is Salmon La Sac picnic area. Picnic by the river or at the picnic tables. Water and primative restrooms are available in the campground a short walk away.

Starting Point: Burger King, Issaquah, WA

0.0		After leaving Burger King, turn right at the light. Stay in right lane.
3.9		Left at light onto May Valley Road.
7.7		Turn right at 'T' onto Issaquah-Hobart Road SE
12.3		Turn right at ligth onto entrance to East Highway 18.
20.0		Exit Highway 18 onto entrance to East I-90.
21.5		Exit I-90 at exit 27. Left at stop sign to North Bend. Watch speed, limits vary. Follow the main road, going straight where one lane veers right.
28.9		Turn right at stop sign onto 468 Ave SE (under freeway).
41.4		Exit I-90 at exit 47, Denny Creek.
41.9		At exit stop, turn left, go over I-90.
42.0		At stop sign at 'T', turn right.
42.3		Turn left onto Denny Creek Road, towards Denny Creek campground.
47.1		At stop sign, bear right, go past ski areas.
49.7		Turn left and quick right to entrance to East I-90.
68.6		Exit I-90 at Exit 74, West Nelson Siding Road.
68.7		Turn right at stop sign onto West Nelson Siding Road.
72.7		Turn right onto Westside Road -> up the hill.
77.9		Turn right onto Mohar Road -> Up the hill.
80.0		At stop sign, turn left onto Upper Peoh Point Road.
80.9		At stop sign at 'T', turn left onto Lower Peoh Point Road, this turns into S Cle Elum Way, aka 4th Street
82.3		At stop sign at 'T' - turn left to go to Safeway with restroom & gas. - turn right to go east through Cle Elum.

2.5		Junction with Highway 10, turn right to east to Ellensburg.
18.4		Turn left onto Highway 97, north to Wenatchee.
31.6		At stop sign at 'T', turn left onto Highway 970, west to Cle Elum.
34.8		Turn right onto Teanaway Road. This comes up fast, so be prepared.
35.4		Turn left onto Red Bridge Road.
38.7		Turn right onto Masterson Road (yield sign).
39.8		At stop sign, turn right onto Airpost Road.
42.5		Turn right onto Spansky Road.
42.9		At stop sign, turn right, take the next left onto 2nd Street in Cle Elum, just before Price Chopper, this turn is not well marked.
		Continue through Cle Elum on 2nd Street, which turns into Highway 903. At the end of Highway 903, about 25 miles from Cle Elum, is the Salmon La Sac picnic area and campgrounds. This is the end of the tour, enjoy at picnic here before heading back.
		To get back to I-90, follow Highway 903 back through Roslyn and watch for the sign to I-90 via Seattle near the Sportland Mini-Mart.

18.0 Right onto Stillwater/Lake Joy Road (at Chevron Station) CAREFUL: SHARP CORNER

19.4 Keep Right on Kelly Road NE

23.4 Left onto NE Cherry Valley Road

27.6 Right onto HWY 203
