Join us for a group drive up to Whistler-Blackcomb, BC for Whistler Weekend! This tour up to Whistler is NOT part of the formal Whistler Weekend events, but just one option on a fun tour and social event to get up there!
To register for Whistler Weekend itself, go to www.Karelo.com, establish a profile if you haven't been on that site before (just like MotorsportReg.com) and then register. Type in "Whistler Weekend" in the search box and you will see the sign in box. You will have to make your hotel reservations separately. See the Whistler ad in the Spiel for details.
We have changed the start point for this tour to the McDonald's Restaurant near Tulalip Casino at 10510 Quil Ceda Blvd, Marysville, WA on Friday, August 23rd. Take I-5 North to exit 200, then left on 88th St and right onto 34th Ave NE at the stoplight. Follow through the roundabout in front of Tulalip Casino and turn left onto 105th St NE and immediate right into McDonald's.
There is a max of 50 cars allowed. We will drive the backroads north of Seattle, to include Chuckanut Drive and on up to Lynden, WA for lunch at Dutch Mother's Cafe. It will be a fixed price buffet lunch for $16.50. From there, it is north across the border into Canada along Canada Hwy 1 west to the famous Sea-to-Sky Highway all the way to Whistler.
Whistler Weekend hasn't been held for a couple years now so this will be a special event in conjunction with Canada West Region. Other regions throughout Zone 6 will also be attending so it should be a grand weekend consisting of a Concours Lite competition, autocross, and a tour to a Canadian winery. All these events are described on the registration site.
Show time for this Friday tour is 8:30 - 9:00 a.m.
