Tour Leader/Sweeper Training 2020
Join us for Tour Leader/Sweeper Training Session Dec 14th 1 - 4 PM at Fairwood Public Library
This training session is designed for those in PNWR who have led or been a sweep car on a PNWR tour or would like to get involved in leading or being sweep in 2020!! The Driving Tour committee is looking to get some "new blood" in the group/sweep ranks so please consider helping out as a group lead or sweep.
In addition, we are also looking for people to step up and plan a tour from start to finish. This admittedly takes some effort, but you can then be proud to call it "your tour". It can be a brand new tour or a re-run of a previous tour that just needs to be updated/modified. This aspect will be covered in detail during the training session, as well as the duties of a good group leader and sweeper. This meeting is in advance of the PNWR 2020 main touring season.
Our goal is to make sure everyone is on the same page with regards to how we plan and conduct our driving tours. This includes using a standard set of driving directions and pre-event and "day-of" tour organization for all tours so that both organizers and attendees know what to expect rather than feeling like each tour is conducted in a vacuum. We will also cover the PCA Minimum Driving Tour Standards so there is no question about how tours should be conducted.
There is no fee for this training. Please register by Dec 12th.

Take Exit 4 for Renton.
At the second light, turn left onto the Maple Valley Hwy./Hwy. 169
Go to the light at 140th Ave. SE and turn right, and go up the hill
After approximately 1.6 miles, the library will be on your right.
From northbound I-405:
Take Exit 4A for Maple Valley, and take a right onto the Maple Valley Hwy./Hwy. 169.
Go to the light at 140th Ave. SE and turn right, going uphill.
After approximately 1.6 miles, the library will be on your right.
